The right qualifications for the job

Gas registration is not a blanket qualification for all appliances and fuels. Corva’s core gas offering is domestic natural gas. Commercial gas, oil and LPG work is not offered as a confirmed service on this website.

Our waste-carrier registration is CBDU033911, with the supplied evidence showing an expiry of 8 March 2029. Relevant documents are available on request; current validity and the scope of work should always be checked when appointing a contractor.

Know who is doing the work

Check the person as well as the business.

Gas Safe business registration and an engineer’s appliance qualifications answer different questions. Before gas work starts, ask to see the engineer’s current Gas Safe ID and confirm the categories are appropriate for your appliance and fuel.

For an organisation appointing Corva, send your document checklist with the proposed scope. Relevant insurance, accreditation and health-and-safety information can then be reviewed against the actual work, site and appointment requirements.

Your questions, answered.

Useful details before you decide. If your question is more specific, our team is happy to help.

Does Gas Safe registration cover all gas work?

No. Registration does not mean an engineer is qualified for every fuel, appliance or setting. Check the relevant categories on the engineer’s current ID. Our core gas offering is domestic natural gas.

What should a property manager request before appointing Corva?

Provide the proposed scope and your onboarding checklist. Relevant items may include current registration, insurance, health-and-safety information and work-specific risk assessments. The office can discuss what is needed for your project.

Does SafeContractor approval replace a site-specific assessment?

No. Ask for the information relevant to the actual work and location. Access, occupied properties, shutdowns and other site conditions still need to be considered when agreeing the job.

Can you send current evidence?

Contact teams@corva.co.uk with the organisation name and the proposed work. Credentials have validity periods, so current documents should be checked as part of appointment or procurement.
