Choose heat output as well as appearance
A taller, slimmer or designer radiator is not automatically equivalent to your existing one. Room size, insulation, windows and the system operating temperature affect the output needed. We discuss the room and specification before treating a chosen radiator as suitable.
Moving a radiator changes the scope
New pipe routes, floor access and wall fixings can turn a simple replacement into a larger job. Let us know about solid floors, recently fitted coverings and where furniture will go. First-fix pipework is best considered before plastering and decorating are finished.
Think about the rest of the system
A cold room can also involve circulation, controls or an underlying system fault. Replacing a radiator without understanding the problem may not resolve it. The quote should identify the radiator, valves, pipe alterations, refilling and checks, with making-good work clearly separated.
