Identify whose system is affected
State whether the fault involves a private dwelling, a communal supply or an uncertain boundary between them. A visible leak in one flat may originate elsewhere. Investigation and access need the right permissions before a repair scope can be confirmed.
Coordinate access and communication
List affected properties, concierge or keyholding arrangements and restrictions on water interruptions. Confirm who tells residents about planned work. Shared services may need building information and isolation arrangements that cannot be established from a single flat’s booking form.
Agree the work order and evidence
Provide the purchase order process, authorisation limit and report requirements. Planned packages can be reviewed by building and priority, with variations agreed before extra work. Communal heating plant, specialist drainage and building-wide compliance are separate scopes requiring the relevant competence.
